BARBARA RUDOLPH

My oil paintings capture a moment in time or a fond memory that will surely bring a smile to your face. Photographing birds to place into my paintings is where all the fun begins. The ideas then flow and I begin to build a series of compositions from which to paint. Carefully planning the placement of birds, books or objects that will reveal their own special meaning to the viewer is important. Once I have the perfect arrangement I can begin to tell the story on canvas. My titles are important and I am often told that my work is fun, stimulating and creative. When people look at one of my paintings they are often moved by the fine detail and the beauty in nature. They feel a sense of attachment to the piece because of the emotion it evokes. I desire to create something of beauty to uplift the human spirit.
